Travel to Cornell University
Plan to arrive and register on campus at Cornell University in Ithaca, NY. Registration times are Saturday, June 21st at 2:00pm and Sunday, June 22nd at 12:00 noon at the Hans Bethe House, where we will greet you. If you cannot arrive to register at these times, please contact Julie Simmons-Lynch at (607) 255-6431 or by email. Check out will be at 10:00am on Friday, June 27th.

Please send us your travel information including method of travel, your expected arrival and departure times, and your flight numbers. Even though we will be meeting you on campus, it is helpful to have as much information as possible.
Recommended Course of Travel:

Ithaca Tompkins Regional Airport (ITH) is the closest airport to the campus. Northwest Airlines, USAirways and United Airlines all serve this airport. If at all possible, fly into this airport. From the airport, a bus or taxi, (607) 277-7777, can bring you to Cornell's campus. Hans Bethe House is across from the Noyes Community Center and next to the Baker flagpole (cab drivers will know these local landmarks).

Greyhound and Shortline Buses serve Cornell University and the surrounding areas.

Amtrak's Syracuse station is the nearest Amtrak station to Cornell University. This train station is approximately 80 minutes away from the campus.

Parking passes will be available at the information desk where you will check in at the Hans Bethe House for $6 per day.
Getting Around Campus:

Cornell University has several campus maps to help you get around. Upon registration, you will receive a welcome packet with maps and other useful information.
Room:
- Each attendee will be assigned to a single room in a suite at the Hans Bethe House. Each suite has 4 bedrooms and a bathroom.

Bedding and towels will be provided, but you are responsible for bringing all other items you may need during your trip. This includes: mirror, alarm clock, blow dryer, iron, toiletries, etc.
*Room is not available for the night before check-in or after check-out.
Dining:
There are three planned dinners:
- June 22nd at 5:15pm
- Dinner the Dijon Bistro
- Bus pick up at the Hans Bethe House immediately following opening talks and reception
- Dress is business-casual optional
- June 24th at 7:00pm
- Informal Dinner and Games with Lecturers
- Bowling, pizza and beer at Helen Newman on campus
- Beats spun out by DJ-duo Van Dyke Brown and Cadmium Red
- Dress is casual
- June 26th at 6:00pm
- Group Picture, Gala, and Debate
- Closing Dinner at the A.D. White House on Campus
- Dress is business-casual optional
All daily events will be held at Hans Bethe House. Continental breakfast at 7:45am and a coffee break at 3:30pm will be served each day.
**You are responsible for all other meals**
Your welcome packet will contain information regarding the town of Ithaca and dining options. Campus cafeterias may not be open, but meals can be purchased off-campus. The town of Ithaca is easily accessible by bus and there are many places to visit.
