I use behavioral and neural imaging approach to study the brain mechanism of language comprehension.
My current research interest is the embodied semantic representation of manual action verbs. Embodied theories claim that word meaning is grounded in sensory-motor system. I test the predictions using fMRI technique. My research focuses on different neural mechanism of tool-use verb processing and hand action verb processing, different neural mechanism of action language comprehension and motor imagery, and the relation between word form processing and embodied semantic representation.
